The Long Song German edition


Above is the cover of Das lange Lied eines Lebens, the German hardback edition of The Long Song which is now available, published by DVA. Also the Norwegian edition En Sang om Lengsel, published by Kagge Forlag, the Dutch edition, Het lange lied, published by Uitgeverij Mouria, the French edition, Une si longue histoire, published by Quai Voltaire/La Table Ronde, and the Italian edition, Una lunga canzone, published by Baldini Castoldi Dalai, are all now available. Further translated editions of The Long Song are in preparation in Spanish, Danish, Turkish, Hebrew, Greek, Portuguese (Brazil) and Hungarian.

The Long Song is published by Headline Review in the UK, by Farrar Straus and Giroux in the US and by Hamish Hamilton in Canada. Paperback editions are published by Picador in the US and Penguin in Canada.

The Long Song has won the Walter Scott Prize for Historical Fiction 2011. The results were announced at the Borders Book Festival in Melrose, Scotland.
